SQL

In R, there is the package DBI (which stands for database interface). In Perl, there is the equally named module DBI.

The DeWitt clause prohibits researchers and scientists from publishing database benchmark results that the database vendor has not sanctioned.

This clause is included as end-user agreement provision by several commercial database vendors.

The original DeWitt clause was established by Oracle at the behest of Larry Ellison.
