Oracle: crash recovery

A crash recovery happens after either a single-instance or all instances of a RAC environment crashes when the instance(es) are started up again.
Crash recovery is performed automatically by Oracle, no manual intervention is needed.
Crash recovery only requires (active) online redo log files, archived redo log files are not required.
