CBL-Mariner

CBL-Mariner is a lightweight Linux distribution: it contains only the packages needed for a Cloud environment.
CBL-Mariner is being developped by the Linux Systems Group at Microsoft.
CBL-Mariner was renamed to Azure Linux in the Release 2.0.20240301.
Like Fedora CoreOS, Azure Linux only has the basic packages needed to support and run containers.

Package manager

The package manager of CBL-Mariner is Tiny Dandified (TDNF).
