LSB

LSB stands for Linux Standard Base.
The goal of the LSB is to make it easy to create binary packages that will run on any Linux distribution.
The LSB has five separate standards: Common, Core, Desktop, Runtime Languages and Imaging.
Apparently, LSB is «essentially dead».
